Can't find the MSDS Sheet

Anyone know anything about Cricut brand adhesive foil and if it is safe to use for making stencils? I’ve read quite a bit about the health hazards as well as potential damage to your GF if lasering vinyl that contains PVC here on the Community Board, and didn’t find any information online about what’s in Cricut adhesive foil or the MSDS sheet for it, so I thought I’d ask if anyone has ever checked into it.

Is there anything I can purchase locally, like Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot or Menards I could use? I’m not sure what the Mylar stuff is that’s talked about a lot here for making stencils.

Mylar is actually a good material for making stencils…you can find whatever size you need at Amazon. It’s a thin plastic that cuts easily on the Glowforge.

I wouldn’t try the Cricut brand adhesive foil, it’s probably got a vinyl base. But there is a laser safe adhesive foil that works extremely well, on a mylar base. Problem with that is the price. It ain’t cheap. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks @Jules! Any idea if anything like that is sold at local craft or hardware stores?

None, I’m afraid…I always just ordered online since it’s a long tedious drive to the nearest hobby store here. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Well, I have a wish list from jpplus.com, so I’ll add that to my list!
