Ok them - If not dressup - you could still make some sort of “proofgrade Pet Prop” for a posed pic (Don’t read that last line out loud - may spray the kybd). 
I know there is a chinchilla prop-maker in the forum. Pet plaques, bird feeders, cat towers (corrugated scratch posts), mouse house, snake seats ( they have to sit somewhere), lizard ladders… sorry - stopping now…
