Nicely done! Great details!!
Haha, that is brilliant. Wow.
Wow, that is really amazing. Do you think you make it out of wood?
Hi, my next step when I have the time is to try to adapt the design for draft wood or acrylic
Currently the “hinges” for the top cover are just masking tape, so that might not work well on wood or acrylic and I have to design actual hinges.
Oh, Clear acrylic would be super cool.
For sure, but I will have to use heat forming for the vertical curved walls
Wow. Really impressive.
I do a fair amount of cardboard stuff and I am extremely impressed you got the black keys bit to cut without scorching, let alone bursting into flames.
Thanks. I did watch the glowforge closely when I’m cutting cardboard. I used a setting I found online which worked well. I also made sure there are no debris from previous cuts trapped in the tray.
While using your own settings clearly worked great - did you know there are settings for cardboard? I’ve never had a fire using them either
Also, we’re only supposed to discuss non-PG settings in the Beyond the Manual section, so you could move your post or you could edit to say something non-specific
Thanks! I have edited my post.
What an amazing project! I love it so much!! Cardboard and paper are so much fun!
Impressive design and execution. It is even articulated! A labor of love. Congratulations @roygoh !
Outstanding job on that! And I too would love to see this design in the catalog.
Anyone else remember that phase that the forum went through and everybody was making miniature instruments? I should try to dig up the old threads, maybe give them a necrogame.
This is SO COOL!!! Wonderful work!
What a fabulous project! As a piano player myself, I would love something like this to be displayed at my piano! Would make a great gift, even in cardboard!!
Great job! I would love to make these for a friend that is a piano tuner so he could give them as gifts.
This is truly wonderful! Thinking black acrylic would be stunning.
What did you design this in may I ask?
