Chipboard gift boxes for coaster sets

I usually tie them up with string, but I have a stack of .03" chipboard, so I made some gift boxes for cork coaster sets today with the laser. Cut at 250/50 and scored the fold lines at 250/20 on a Glowforge Pro.

Oh, I like this, I might put my gift boxes inside gift boxes. Or is that too meta?

Only if it becomes like the Russian stacking dolls! And that would be cool too

Really good job on the geometry, the line offsets, and spacing at the folds. I copied a similar design but had to reiterate several times to get those right.

The chipboard’s from Craft Closet. They have a wide variety of affordable laser materials, and I like to toss in chipboard, cork sheets, or something I’ve never tried when I’m reordering stuff for just a couple more bucks. It’s nice to have the variety on the shelf to experiment with.

Last year I made my boss a light up Christmas tree on my forge.

Once I realized how cumbersome it was going to be to store during the off year, I needed to laser cut a custom plywood box (with the cord in its own little compartment, of course). It also needed a pretty etched acrylic window.

Then I had to ship it, so I had cut pretty corner protectors out of cardboard on the forge. I needed a gift tag, which had to be etched out of plywood…
