City skyline

Our Halloween theme this year was “Heroes and Villains”. I thought it would be fun to do a City skyline as one of our pieces. The pieces are cut out of 3/8 Lowe’s Luan. I dadoed a slot in a 1x4 to stand them up in and hold them. The skyline can be changed by swapping the panels around. The light pipes for the LED lights are medium acrylic, driven by an Arduino. Backlighting is a set of cheap LED strip lights from Walmart.

The video came out better than the pic.

Sharp looking, what is overall size?

Very Superhero. (Should I say it?..it’s a Marvel.)

Gosh, this is amazing! I love the movement and the tiny lights on top of the buildings.

It’s about 5’ long and the panel height was the max width of the forge.

Fantastic! I’d love to see a picture of it in normal lighting if you’d be willing to share. I always like to look “behind the curtains.”
