Over Christmas I made some coffee cup shaped gift card holders. This was a fun design - my goal here was to require the lid to be removed in order to get the card.

I got weak and ordered a box of exotic scraps under 1/4" for $200 we will see what arrives. most is too thick for lasers.

It came and looks fantastic! Very much worth the money. Lots of wide thin wood, some of it burl, some rough sawn but a good saw so not gouged. Was $200 but that was it, no shipping charges. Unfortunately, It arrived soaking wet and there is some warping.

Love the gc holders! And if you add a magnet to the back the recipient can keep it on display after removing the card.
