This is an interesting (non-Glowforge) experiment:
TL;DW: Experiments marking stainless steel with different colors by varying the power level to control the amount of heat applied.

That’s very interesting.
I wonder if you could pull it off with the glowforge, seems like you should be able to. Just need really thin stainless.
