I want to cut these 5 rectangles. Can you help me figure out how to do this so the glowforge does not cut the shared lines twice? I am using inksacpe.

If the whole outside of that shape is not important… I would just position those pieces with a little space between them. You’ll use up an extra quarter inch of material but it saves time on the computer. I never try to optimize cuts like this.

If you are looking for automation to do this:
Do you need the separate colors to drive separate cutting operations? If not, why not just weld them all into a single object?
