One of my first attempts at making a desktop sign for a friend who loves the Dallas Cowboys. The wood is draft board with the state of Texas colored with colored pencil. The acrylic Star is floating with small acrylic circles stacked and glued together.
I am open for any suggestion/critiques.

I think it’s great you learned with the Cowboys. With your skills perfected you can move onto making things for real teams.
Is the pattern in the leather modeled after the pebbled leather of a football and if so how did you do that? Or happy coincidence? Or camera trickery?

The only thing I could see you trying is modifying the Texases (Texii?) that go behind the words so they don’t go behind the words.
