Commission for a Crown Royal & Wine Caddy. Handle comes off to slide bottle in.
Or confound those trying to remove it without permission!
If they can’t decipher how to remove the handle they are cut off.
I saw this stein from Germany that had holes all around the side of the rim about a half inch below the top, and other holes on the top edge (it was double-walled porcelain) so you couldn’t tip it to drink. There was another hole in the stein handle that you plug with your thumb and a certain one on the top that you suck on.
When you turned it up for a swallow and got wet - time to go home.
Very clever design! No cheap bottles allowed in there.
Very nice! Makes for a very attractive display.
the Germans have so many clever ways to drink! I went to a work dinner once where the restaurant had famous singing liquor bottles that would whistle tunes as they poured.
I have never heard of such a thing.
Very elegant indeed!
Very nice!
It’s been over 10 years so my memory is a little fuzzy but I think it was this place, the singing bottles came out at the end of a rather expensive 20 person private dinner.
You can get them on eBay (musical liquor pourer). A B&B we stayed at in the Mosel valley had one.
That made me hungry…
