I like it.
We have a couple of knives kept in storage boxes (for some reason) and I noticed they all have a removal notch.
Looks like the knife is high enough to get a good pinch on it. If you make another, ask nephew if it is hard to get in and out.

I had the reliefs in the original template but found it wasn’t needed. It does sit high enough to grab with the top/bottom split.
