Finished this a couple months ago, and was finally able to gift it this week. One of my friends proposed last year using a Scrabble board - he and his fiancee play a ton of games and Scrabble is one of their favorites. So for a gift, I wanted to make them their own special board. The board is primarily Cherry with Maple inlays. The base tiles are all individually cut and engraved veneer pieces. The blank ones are Cherry, and the colored ones are stained Maple. Playing tiles are all Maple, and the tile racks are Cherry.
This looks really wonderful. They’ll love it!
