Cut irregular items efficiency

Hey y’all!

I’m cutting a bunch of Texas shaped coasters, is anyone aware of a program or command that will provide the most efficient layout or position to fit as many of a shape within the print area? Right now I’m distributing but I feel like there is something that could help with getting as many of these shapes placed as possible to reduce waste.

Thank you!

If you’re cutting from wood, you may find that some grain directions are more aesthetically pleasing than others… something like deepnest can be handy but be wary of rotation if that is important to you.

I haven’t used SVGnest but do use deep nest. And you’re definitely correct about rotation and aesthetics. Somewhere in the options you can set max rotation , which should help with that if it’s important to the job.
