We usually use acrylic paint but wanted to try latex paint (used for home painting). This won’t cause any damage right? Has anyone used this paint before?

There are many, many posts regarding safe paint if you utilize the search function. Your best bet would be to go to the paint mfg. website and look up the safety data sheet. You want to evaluate any materials listed that pose hazardous thermal decomposition items.

Many latexes are acrylics so you’re likely in luck - but yeah, check for the SDS or MSDS and see what your latex is made of (if they’ve got it filled in, the section on combustion off-gases should be particularly paramount!)
