That did not work. I tried a second pass when the first didn’t cut the aluminum tape. No luck. I might try to slow the speed down but maybe I would be best to find another solution.

How thick is the foil?
0.15mm plus 110lbs paper. Total thickness 0.35mm. I used full power and a speed of 500. Ended up doing two passes. Do you think slower would do the trick?
I will pick up some mylar tape today which should have similar performance and hopefully will cut. I read that mylar aluminium tape is a hybrid product.
the only way i was able to cut 0.010 tin foil was to first spray it with Cermark metal marking spray. Otherwise it would not absorb enough energy to burn through the metal. Once cut, I could rinse the Cermark off the foil.
Maybe there is another approach to get the effect you want? Thin black plex, or opaque card stock?
