Death Note Block Print

With minor trial and error I am happily block printing using those laser red rubber sheets and proper engrave settings. Patience (for long engraves and drying) is the only downside. I print the text on an inkjet and create my art in Procreate. Mounted it to a stained wood block.

Just worked out a test where I can keep registration over multiple plates. So a nice red…

Great job, and you clearly understand the process of correctly inking your stamp. I see so many laser cut stamps where the stamp came out fine but the image doesn’t look great because the stamp was poorly inked.

Thanks, I have learned the hard way how not to over or under ink. The paper matters, also I find the Speedball Professional Relief Ink to be particularly good, applied with a small brayer. It’s a rabbit hole and I have far to go, but the baseline skills at least seem to be coming along.

Wow! That is great looking! Spooky, too!

Reminds me of the Death Note keepsake box I made my daughter years ago. She especially loved the surprise Ryuk on the inside.
