My housemate was needing to pack a lunch frequently and got a special bag with refrigerator cells and special eating utensils that came in a cheesy plastic box. So I made her a better one out of poplar. the engrave is vector but goes halfway through the 1/4" wood
Not bad, I like how the engrave continues from lid to body. Nice choice.
It looks like you broke the engrave into two pieces at the lid/base interface? I assume that was to keep the edge thickness? It would sidestep some tricky bits if you did.
I wanted to make the interface disappear and it did not quite do that but I was able to maneuver the same design to fit at the ends and sides and be reflected at the top.
By going deep it is like two layers of 1/8 instead of one of 1/4.
Too small for the lunch, there is an amazing complex bag for that, it includes a place for the silverware that has a velvet bag in a cheesy plastic box. This just replaced the cheesy box.
