Made a smaller but still big display case for my diecast model of my new RZR I purchased. Made it bigger than my model so it works for most 11" diecast car models as well. Made it so if you make more than one the top and bottom can stack on top of each other too. Made it with 1/8 medium proofgrade walnut and 1/4 green glass acrylic like usual lol.
If you want to see how the track system works I made a video here:
If you want to see the real one to compare the model here’s a photo:
If you want the file to make your own I have it here too: etsy.com/shop/freshstartcustoms
That’s a great design. Nice variation on the slots and tabs.
Thank you. I put a lot of thought into all of it. From the track system to tightness of joints from wood being tighter and acrylic looser to prevent cracking but making small enough joints one acrylic that the track system covers up the tabs. Then the bonus stacking box feature.
Great design, and great tutorial! I like that it can be stackable.
Cool design. I like that you can stack them! (Neat RZR too!)
Very nice, your choice of wood and acrylic look great together as well.
Thanks, it’s favorite combo
Josh, this is a really nice design! Makes for a stunning display case. Beautiful!
