Quite the opposite! We built Aura on the same infrastructure so we could justify even more investment into the software that powers everything. And we love our grouches.
Ha! Busted! @emilyhuh put on her dan moustache and posted this way before I woke up that morning, then switched it to my name. But I wrote it all myself. (No ghostwriter, not even chatgpt).
Support is now replying to posts in the “help” section of discord, and Emily’s full time job is understanding the wisdom of the community to inform our product direction!
If Emily says it’s in the hopper, you know your opinion has been counted.
During your print job, click “hide” in the upper right corner. This should hide the right panel, including the large countdown timer. You can still see the tiny countdown in the top bar of the interface.
Can you please add a way to even just minimize the annoying chat feature if you can’t opt-out entirely? I like having the big clock there and the chat thing is huge.
I am happy to see your company growing and was excited to read about so many new designs being released. This morning my happiness turned to frustration. I often check for new “Free with Premium” designs and sort “New to Old”. While I appreciate you want to provide files for your new HTV materials, that’s not the primary reason I bought a GF. Due to a neurological disability affecting my eyesight, I can only look at screens for short spurts of time. Scrolling through hundreds of graphics files to find the newest wood/acrylic files proved impossible for me this morning.
Please allow for users to have a choice to find and view new non-graphics (HTV) files. Maybe separate category?
Hi @melissathomp ! I hear your feedback about the chat window and if you want to hide the window while you are printing, there is a option to Hide the window (you will need to hide it for each print). Hope that helps!
I passed this info along from you and a few other community members about the tech specs to confirm. Thank you!
Hi @CindyP ! Thanks for your support and appreciate your excitement about the new designs and completely understand how looking through the new designs can be a bit of a challenge.
Great suggestion about the ability to search by material category! I added your idea to the hopper (and because of your amazing idea I have included a bunny gif).
In the meantime, you can go into the catalog and search a material which will bring up all designs with that material and then you can filter by "free with premium:. You would need to choose each material separately to see designs by wood or acrylic. Hope that helps!
i think she realizes that, the issue is when you minimize that you close down the large countdown timer that’s easy to read at a glance and only have the tiny one in the corner that you have to look more closely at.
my temp workaround is to drag almost the whole browser window off the bottom of my screen until only the countdown timer is showing. it’s annoying to have to do that, but at least then you can still see the larger timer. hopefully we get another option in the near future to hide just the chat.
This! I download a lot of the designs, and then have to click on them to see if I’ve already downloaded them or not. It just hitting the back button would take me right back to where I left off of in the catalog, it wouldn’t be so bad, but sometimes it’ll jump around and I have to start all over again. (I almost always view “Newest to Oldest.”
It would also be nice that if we put a design into a category of our dashboards, it would take it off the dashboard and just leave it in our files. I think most of us know how we categorize things and where we’d put certain designs. But having them in two places just clutters up our dashboards.
Sorry to sound negative but the discord idea in the print interface box is horrible.
If I’m concentrating on printing I don’t want twitter style, and I quote from what is shown today ‘OMG totally feel that ’ content.
From a purely UI design perspective it isn’t even obvious how you can expand the content from the print zone area to make interaction easier.
Please have an opt out option (hitting hide on every print is not that) - this really does need revisiting and please don’t go out of your way to annoy premium customers who may be trying to run a business without trivial distractions… And most workplaces btw have the option to ban social media - imagine every word document you print opening up bing news…
This seems like a mis-characterization.
I perceive them as a very thoughtful company whose broader target market is not you (the highly technical type).
