I bought some Plano boxes and they didn’t come with enough dividers to fill out the boxes. Plano doesn’t list the dividers on their website, so I made my own. And now you can too!
Note: Ensure to source material that is the right thickness. PG medium is too thick. Also, the radius on the corners is tighter than I’ve seen other boxes handle. If you’d like to make changes to the layout, I’ve made the generator public on Cuttle:
Almost everything is configurable from the main page.
Here is a picture of the ones I cut mixed with original ones. The thumb grips are different in the picture because I hadn’t added them yet when I cut these and used some clip art from the GF Premium options. I wish I had waited to cut mine. I could have used a cut instead of a score for them. They still look nice.
I actually contacted their customer support about getting extra dividers. Then I remembered that I had a thinner piece of acrylic from another project. After cutting a test one, I realized that these are much better. I’m really happy with the results. Might even cut some more to replace the existing OEM ones.
You’re timing couldn’t be better! I can really use these, although I may have to adapt the size, as I need them for a Craftsman 39-drawer organizer that didn’t have ANY dividers in the drawers. Thank you!!
