Double Edge Line for Cake Topper issue

I need a little help here folks. I created a cake topper and have solid lines on inkscape. When I press any type of cuts the line splits in half. See the attached photos. Please advise on a solution.

If you are using an Auto-Trace on what I call a “Coloring Book” image, the auto trace will place a path on either side of the black line that it sees. Auto-trace routines place a path into the interface every place a color change happens.

I’ve actually got a little writeup on it here:

To avoid it, you will want to do a center-line trace on that kind of image.

I noticed in the design file you had no stroke at all, but there was a fill.

In Inkscape, if you disable the fill, and enable the stroke path, the display in inkscape will match what you’re seeing in the app (when you set the design to cut).

Please let us know if you have any questions.
