Double-sided jigsaw puzzle

The second puzzle is just made using the same illustration file as the plaque I’ve shown here before. The first puzzle is a double-sided jigsaw based on an illustration of a cuneiform* tablet. I wanted to make it double-sided because I was trying to capture some of the 3D nature of the tablet it’s based off of. When you finish reading one side, you flip it top to bottom and not side to side to read the reverse, so the puzzle works the same way! You take the pieces out (pieces are double-sided too!), flip the board, and you have the back of the tablet to put together. I hope I explained that clearly!

I’m really proud of this. It was a headache to make sure everything lined up the way I wanted it to, but I think it turned out very nicely.

*the world’s first writing system, invented in Mesopotamia in the 4th millennium. Let’s say I have a niche and I’m sticking to it :joy:
