It is engraved. But I have separate files on the pieces because sometimes some of the pieces fall off, depending on the wood (I used 1/4” cedar plywood. I suggest higher quality wood for final projects. This was my first test). So if I lose a couple of pieces and need to replace them I can just print out the pieces I need.
