Incredible. And pretty unique - I don’t recall seeing a wood mosaic that detailed.

I curious if for the bold lines around the beak, and the overall perimeter of the head - were those engraved, or is actually a subtle 3D effect (as the lines on the left side seem to be a little less bold than the right..)

At first glance, it looks like a three layer engraved piece to me. We need to have a way to place bets on this sort of thing

Hmm at second glance I think it’s all one big engrave in a single layer.

Congratulations @demarcusalexan! You constantly push the boundaries of laser design.

Correct me if i am wrong, It seems like it is a 3 layer engraving, topmost the beak, next the head, and last the background. Am I correct? or is it an effect of wider engraving lines? Thanks for sharing.

it is one piece of wood with two engraving layers. One is for the shading and the other is for the deep lines. The lines around the head and beak are just thicker. However, I do also have it in SVG form. So the individual pieces could be cut out if I need to do it piece by piece.

This is stunning! My Mom collected eagles, so I’m always drawn to them.
