Here are two figured maple control cavity covers for a Paul Reed Smith electric guitar. The design was customer supplied and I used the Glowforge to cut the covers, engrave the quote and cut the inlay cavities for the abalone birds. The birds were cut by hand using a jewelers saw. Needless to say the customer was very happy.

What is the inlay material?
The birds are abalone, everything else is either engraved or scored using the Glowforge.
