Electric/hybrid vehicles

Understood, but the one I have selected does not. I am disabled, have specific requirements including dog-friendly (this place has its own dog park within the complex), near to my church and my friends, and the units I want (adjacent to the dog park) are on the opposite side of the building from the limited disabled parking.

Public charging is of no use. The ones at stores I go to (very few) are nowhere near the entrance, which is as far as I can stumble to grab an electric buggy. There is no “workplace” - I’ve worked remotely since the 90’s and that is definitely not changing now that I am disabled.

Again, all academic. I will be completely fine with a hybrid. What got me interested is my ex’s BF bought one recently, so I thought I’d look into them again.

I also wonder if solar roads can stand up to the US’s ridiculously large cars. The number of people with absolutely stupid pickups and SUVs is distressing.

Yup. It “only” produced 80k and they were hoping for 150k. Hence testing and improvements.

You can find articles calling a certain laser we all have in common a failure and a scam too - doesn’t mean it’s true :upside_down_face:
