Engrave on a cigar?

So - has anyone engraved on a cigar yet?
Going to a wedding sunday, thought it might be a cool gift for the groom…

I have been working on a project that might entail that.

If you get a lighter shade of a cigar, you might be able to get a good marking without burning through the wrapper. Going all the way through a wrapper might affect the draw.

But I engraved the glass tubes. That worked great.
