My son and I were watching that and then we kinda forgot about it. I will have to remind him!

Very cool design. We just finished the show 5 minutes ago! I thought most of this season was very well done.

this was right on your iPad or on a case? I thought it could not engrave metal?

You are correct that the GF cannot engrave metal. It can however, remove the top layer from anodized aluminum which leaves the ‘engraving’ showing on the bare metal underneath.

You’re a braver man than I am

I thought I saw somewhere there is a black spray that can be used on metal to engrave. Is this correct?

Cermark is probably the biggest name. Also the most expensive last I checked(a while ago). There’s also laserbond and a number of at home experimental things like mustard, moist paper towels and other things. But those are for the adventurous.

Has anyone used either the Cermak or Laserbond with a Glowforge?

Both have been used and discussed. Here are some results of a quick search for you to review: Search results for 'CerMark' - Glowforge Owners Forum

Did you read the post immediately above yours?

From the read time I’m guessing they honestly don’t know. Without already knowing, I can see how that question and my answer are ambiguous to if they’ve been used. Only they exist.

thank you

No need to be rude

What’s rude about asking if you had read the post immediately above yours that provided the answer?
