I came across a nice tool this evening that lets you draw symmetrical patterns and export them as SVG for free in your browser. Perfect for engraved or scored fills and what-not, or further editing in Inkscape/Illustrator/et al.

This is wonderful! It’s like Amaziograph for the iPad, except it exports as SVG which Amaziograph does not. Thanks so much!

Here’s a quick test I did in 30 seconds, saved as SVG and raster tile, inverted, then 3D Engraved onto 
hardwood maple:
Works quite nicely! 
The piece is around 4-inches at its widest.
