How big are those pumpkins?

you did a better job of slicing the face off. for some reason, the pieces i cut off the front of the two i did this year somehow shrunk a little bit.

That’s beautiful; I’d love to see it lit from within.

The pumpkin piece sliced off the front was about 9” high by 1.75” thick (to ensure it was under 2.5”)

looks good. engraving pumpkins really works best when you have it lit.

i can also suggest painting the pumpking first, too. it really helps with light blocking where there’s no engraving and, depending on what color, can give you even better contrast when you don’t have it lit.

On thing we did is keep it very cool - temperatures in our area dropped so having it outside but protected from the rain and sun was a key.
