Felt hat project

For the first time I did the door open hack to personalize a hat for my 11 year old granddaughter. It turned out wonderful…(keep in mind there are safety issues with having the door open). She loves to read so I even engraved a saying by Louisa May Alcott on the leather around the hat. I’m happy with it! It has a rose and vine on the back…

Would you mind elaborating on what this entails?

Great project @rvogt, how did you manage to fit the top part into the :glowforge:?
Or did you engrave upside down just on the brim?

@brian.skinnell, @rvogt will probably not discuss this openly as it goes against the forum rules any mods that circumvent the :glowforge: security features, but the search function is your friend and if you look for “interlock magnets” you will get the idea as this has been discussed before.

@brian.skinnell , do the search like @reynoso mentioned, also some info/pics on the internet. @reynoso, I left the door open and put the hat with most of it hanging out. Just enough in so I could get it on the brim. I used paper on top and scored her name to be sure of placement before I did the engrave.
