File Tagging

I have a ton of print and cut files. The file names are less than helpful in most cases. I’m thinking of getting software that will let me tag the files for searching. Does anyone here do something similar? What kinds of software would you recommend? (We are windows based)

I like Adobe Bridge (it’s free, you don’t need to have an Adobe subscription)

It’s great for any visual media and has very powerful meta tag management support.

I don’t do this as often as I should but you can put files on pages in OneNote and then add tags, notes, anything like that for easier finding and using. I’m sure there are other freeform databases that would let you do the same.

Someone in another lasering group also suggested adobe bridge. After using it for a few hours, I think it’s going to do exactly what I’m looking for. And it’s free, so even better.

Mac has it built for several years now as part of the file structure.
