Finally got my first Catalog items accepted

My first year using the Glowforge was spent learning the machine and buying lots of designs off of Etsy for the business my wife and I run. Business was good, but we were just getting started. Last year I started working on some of my own designs with a goal to get one design each month accepted into the Design Catalog. Well, two months in and I just got my second design published.

These are my first two greeting cards in the catalog, with many more to come.

Each card has a wooden front and back and a cardstock inner card with a custom scored design. The paper and wood design really stands out from your average grocery store greeting card.

Thank you. With every project I keep exploring new features in Adobe Illustrator. On this project I finally learned about the smoothing tool, so my paths are a lot more flowing an natural. Last year the strings on the balloons would have had a ton of kinks and lumpy curves.

Super cool! If you make a few for different holidays I bet people would love them. It makes giving a gift card a little more personal too if you pop one in.
