First 10000 Decimal Digits of Pi etched onto a 2" x 4" piece of plywood

I made this as a resolution test soon after getting my Glowforge, but it seemed appropriate to wait until Pi Day to post it.

Resolution is good enough that it is easy to read with a magnifier, although I should have engraved it slightly deeper.

Heh heh–pretty cool!

And 9,961 more digits than are needed to calculate the circumference of the observable universe to the precision of a single hydrogen atom!

I really love how it emphasizes the grain of the wood. That’s so cool.

Kate Bush has a cool song called “Pi”

This is awesome. Maybe you can carry it in your pocket and try to memorize all these digits by next pi day!
