So here’s my first project, aside from the tutorials, and I had to do something LOTR related. I had these fonts already, having used them for projects with my x-carve, so I had to do something as an homage to my love of everything Tolkien.
I LOVE how this turned out. I know it was something simple, but to go from opening the box to producing this in a day is just wonderful. Having worked a lot with 3D printers and CNC machines this was a delight to work with.

Thanks everyone! So pleased with how this came out. I have so many ideas for other projects, I just can’t decide on what to do next.
I did make another LOTR piece, just a little coaster. It’s a gift to a friend of mine who helped proofread my thesis. Turned out lovely in maple. I have a feeling I’m going to run out of proofgrade materials fast.
