First Project - Vinyl floor accents for trade show booth

I got my GF yesterday and it just so happened I was building a floor for my trade show booth. Decided to put a few logos on some floor pieces Uploading: 3E6B5247-6D53-4366-94E6-4D6AC0B6D363.png…

Very subtle, but very very cool. Logo is awesome too.

Great looking logo. Was there any smell from the engraving on the tiles.

Thanks a lot. We were so excited to see the result

There was no bad smell that I could detect

I would be very careful and check the MSDS before doing any more of those. If it’s PVC based you’ll be risking your health and the health of your laser due to chlorine gas release/exposure.

Update this post with pics when it’s all done at the show.

Unintended consequences incoming.

I see a lot of personalized flooring in your future…

Very cool looking for sure!
But as @takitus noted, laser etching/cutting most vinyl flooring is not good for your health (or any creature near the exhaust) due to the chemicals released during the etching process.

Real linoleum (Marmoleum is one trade name) is OK to etch, but most flooring is not unless you have industrial ventilation and air scrubber systems…
