First Time Using the Pass Through

Have had my Glowforge for almost a year. Finally took some much needed “Me” time and created a sign for my Engineering classroom using the Pass Through feature. So cool! This is my shop Glowforge. The Tech Center where I teach has a laser engraver, but not a Glowforge.

Excellent results! What’s the total size?

It was only 24 inches, but will look really sweet above my classroom door. It is hard getting proofgrade materials due to the COVID and politics, so I use what I can find at the popular home improvement stores. I did not mask it like I normally do, so had to do some light sanding. I used wall end cabinet MDF board since it was very similar to the draftboard. It had a wood grain veneer which I did not realize until I sanded a little too much to get rid of the burn marks, so I just took advantage of that boo-boo and sanded the entire border. I am excited to make some more things with the pass through now.

Love the sign, especially the added white outline. Really makes it pop. The pass through is a fabulous feature.
