Fishhugger Acrylic Stand-Up Logo

A friend of mine is an Alaskan fisherman who sells his catch at local farmers markets. I’m working on creating some better identity photos for a new website and, wanted something to add some visual variation and branding to a few shots. This seemed like an intuitive application of their logo.

This is just 3 layers of 1/8" acrylic, fused with acrylic cement and slotted into the base. Height is about 6". I think the whole thing, including design time, took maybe an hour.

I was excited to have the idea and, be able to produce something this polished so quickly.

The logo is very closely based on a petroglyph thought to represent an ancient fisher.

This is great…very artistic and cool that it harkens back to an ancient symbol. I love acrylic anyway, and this is a beautiful use-case.

Nicely done. I really need to spend more time with acrylic.

The turquoise shadow bit is a really nice touch, especially as it can be viewed from either side.

I think the ancient petroglyphs have a lot of great design!
