PU should be Polyurethane.
It definitely should - but I wouldnât trust an Amazon listing as far as I could throw Bezos, especially when they use a different description in the body than they do in the title!
I would also learn about making and using a jig, if you want to get the words on there correctly.
Thank for the info. The description does not mention PVC at all. I sent a message to the seller which to your point I figure go to the source. Well, as close as possible. Will post back what they say.
I have seen photos of machines that had just a few seconds of cutting PVC and everything is a horror. It doesnât happen immediately, and some of the worst looking places are not the worst of the problem, but every eletronics chip and connection will likely be damaged.
So, the seller replied:
âThese coasters donât contain any PVC and are made from leather and cork.
Regards,
Benjaminâ
I will look for signs, although it appears that I will not have to if indeed there is PVC in them⌠On the shelf they go for now.
i wouldnât trust that reply as far as @deirdrebeth can throw bezos. PU leather is not actually leather, itâs synthetic leather. if the seller knew what it actually was, they should have told you. my guess is they donât. theyâre probably reselling what they buy from china. itâs probably safe, but i wouldnât bet thousands of dollars on âprobably.â
yes totally! the cork will prevent the slate from scratching the furniture, great suggestion!
