Yeah, typed without thought (and have been binging some Ferguson lately).
Geoff is actually a robotic skeleton, not a robot.

Yay, Iron Giant!

Is your next version going to be life-size?

Perhaps this can be a summer project to work on with my son

That would be pretty sweet! I think it would work with pass-through if you have a pro!

LOL…

I have a GF Basic, and if I were to build a life sized version and plan to sit on it, it will have to be made out of 1" or thicker solid wood held together by screws and bolts… So we are talking band saw, jig saw, hand drill, router, disk sander etc…The GF 's role would be to cut templates for routing the actual parts.

Going a little off topic here, but this is how I used a template cut on a GF to route the corners and holes on a pieces of MDF for a shop vac dust separator project:

That’s cool!

Yeah, you’re right about the chair… but how cool would that have been? I was thinking they would have to be layered but yeah probably still not strong enough. lol  I’m not a carpenter obviously. LOL

Layering is a possibility technically, but that will take many hours of cutting and >$1000s in proofgrade material
