Oh, okay I now understand what you want to do.

You want to create a Cut line.

To do that you will want to work with a vector drawing program. (Photoshop is not a vector program, it is a Bitmap program.)

You can use the free Inkscape program to create a Cut line around the image. There is a link to Inkscape here :

I use this technique all the time, it’s a fast and easy and almost foolproof way to do a kerf-corrected cut of an odd shape. Have a vector shape that needs to be cut out.
