Found a solution to the Glowforge Exhaust issue

I found a solution to connecting to the 4" exhaust. As all glowforgers know, the exhaust port connection is difficult with typical dryer flex pipe. It is just too short for a proper seal. I have been using tape for years to almost hold the flex pipe with some success. Today I got my solution from Amazon a “AC Infinity Noise Reduction Clamp 4-Inch, Duct Coupler with Stainless Steel Clamps” and it works great. Here is the link 4-Inch Duct Clamp.

A 4" Elbow might help as well.

there are also some 3D printed extenders that make a connection simpler.

i have this one, for example.

One of those flex cuffs also comes included with this blast gate, which you can use to separate the machine from the outside air when not in use. In the humid summer months, a louvred vent cap isn’t enough, a blast gate is the only thing that keeps condensation from forming in my laser.
