Fusion 360 has a new laser cut computer stand tutorial on YouTube. And I will add for a hobbyist you may use the program for free.

How do you download the hobbyist copy? Everything I find on the site seems to imply you have to have a valid educational situation (student/teacher) to download.
You can download the trial then change it to a student or enthusiast during or after your trial expires. When in Fusion 360 you can click on the countdown timer at the top of the screen to chose the type you subscription you want. Options are free for students, startups and enthusiasts and $300 a year if you have a company making over 100k annually and you are using Fusion 360 for that business.
Can’t wait to try out the laser option when I get my freaking laser. If anybody gets a chance to try this out please let me know. I work on the Fusion 360 team and we want to make it as easy as possible to cut your design from Fusion 360 on your Glowforge.
