This is my first post since I received our Glowforge a couple months ago. I am so excited to share this fully contained Glowforge cabinet my husband made me! It is exactly what I needed to keep my grandson’s curious hands away. It also provides great storage for all my materials. He created it with casters for easy cleaning and the Glowforge can vent directly out of the back of the cabinet through the window. Since the only spot we could find to put the Glowforge was in our front entry room, when the cabinet is closed you would never know that this also doubles as my makers space.
OOOOOoooohhhh - we’re all jealous now.
Can you run it with the lid closed to keep the noise down?
For safety, I keep it open to keep an eye on the projects while running.
That’s by far the most elegant solution to house a Glowforge we’ve ever seen!
Welcome to the forum. Your husband is very talented. What a beautiful cabinet.
Yes, I really like the detailing of the faux drawers down the front.
Oh, wow. That’s a work of art!
Wow, that is fantastic! Great job by your husband.
Looks great
Wow, that is truly amazing!
Pretty sweet.
Very nice design. It fits in with the rest of the room perfectly.
If it were closed it would probably hinder ventilation too.
I love all the storage underneath! I need to find a new solution for storage… I have a lot of scraps that I cannot bring myself to throw away yet; I might need them!
That is outstanding! Well done!
Really nice cabinet. I love the false drawers.
That has to be the coolest GF table I’ve ever seen! Well done!
That is so simple and yet so elegant. Your husband is to be commended!
My only difficulty would be not piling stuff on top
That is effing awesome! The detail and style is stunning. Well done. You are a lucky person to have someone who could build that for you.
Dang! I want one, now, lol. What kind of wood is that? It’s beautiful.
Thanks! I’m not sure what kind of wood he used.
