Glowforge Ghostbusting

I’ve had my Ghostbusters “Two-in-the-Box” Trap for a while now, and one thing that wasn’t quite doing it for me was the trap’s lighting… Don’t get me wrong, the whole package is brilliant (and reasonably-priced!) but there was something off about the white LED glow when the trap opened.

I used my Glowforge to cut a filter out of fluorescent green acrylic to go below the grating provided, and poof! A much creepier glow. (I also cut one with vent holes in case I ever add a smoke generator in there…)

As an added bonus, when the trap vibrates, the acrylic rattles a bit against the filter and body of the trap, adding a bit more “buzz” to the effect.

Neat! Any chance of a short video of it opening?

Had to crank down the size & resolution to fit the requirements, but here ya go:

I love it! Your little setup is great! Glad you were able to alter it, as the green acrylic definitely added to it.

Yes! Very cool!! I see why you are making future considerations for smoke

BTW, when you want to post a video, you can upload it to Youtube or Vimeo and then link here, far larger files are allowed that way saving you the frustration of shrinking them!
