Glowforged Yoga Mat

So I managed to fit a cork yoga mat in the glowforge…

I have started to try yoga but felt like the mat needed something a little extra to make it more my style. So the engraving I did was to turn the front of it into a charcuterie mat.

So before I get into settings, setup, and material, I did the following to make sure the print would be safe:

  • Beilstein Test on to make sure the material is laser safe
  • Set up the mat with the GF off and made sure the laser head would clear the clips I used to hold the mat to the draft board.

So here is the mat I used:

To get it set up I used some blocks to raise a piece of draft board to the needed height and then used chip bag clips to secure the mat to the draft board.

The settings used was 1000 speed, 12 power, 270 LPI, 1 pass.

Of course it was not long before my dog thought it was his

Oh well done!

I’m now imagining setting up the shark cootchie TM board before you start your yoga, and having the smells drive you to finish everything perfectly the first time so you don’t have to do them again and can get to eating :stuck_out_tongue:
