I was handed 12 hammers and golf balls and asked to make a golf trophy for a local memorial tournament for our Builder’s Association. This is what I came up with.
Did a “cut/engrave” in base for cut acrylic pieces (house shape) denoting 1st, 2nd & 3rd places to fit into. Those were the easy parts! Had a learning curve with cutting the proper angle for the hammer so the nail went into the golf ball at a good angle! All 12 were not exact, but close enough!
Those are cool. I would have made the hammer into a putter with the 1st/2nd/3rd as the hole flag Funny how individual based alternate ways of looking at things result in different designs.
Fabulous results! I’m sure they exceed expectations!
Another good idea. I will put that in my idea book for next time!
I’m making some for another tournament where I am going to make a 3D version of a par 3 hole on that course. The pin flag will have 1, 2 & 3. The GF will do a lot of work for those!
Wow, what a unique trophy! Should be a huge hit with the builder’s association.
Thank you!
Oh, that’s pretty neat! Yeah, the builders are gonna love it!
They look great … Very fun trophies!
Nice job. You might even say, you
Nailed it!
Thank you for all the kind words! Everyone loved them at today’s tournament
Those are so creative!
