Got a few hours to spare and want to clean up your honeycomb tray?

I’d be curious to hear if anyone who loads it finds it does not fit their print area with those settings.

I’m pretty certain there is no way for the machine to “sense” or “detect” the extremes for themselves and adjust on an individual basis.

That’s one heck of an upgrade that I am sure many others would love to hear about!

I want to know what that magic thing is that makes the crumb tray look like that! Please

It’s a high powered laser cleaning tool.

I think I’ll stick with mine… I smile every time I look at the like-new bed surface - like when I had to take the tray out to shake off a bunch of small pieces from a print yesterday.

(there are a couple of extra parts to provide stability at the base that are not in this pic…)

It’s an earring holder.

I am cleaning my tray right now. So far so good. I’ve got 3 more hours.

Where did you get the laser you are using to clean the Honeycomb Tray?

That’s a gif from an online search - not a laser that any of us (AFAIK) owns. They’re generally in the multiple 10s of thousands and owned by businesses.

Does the air filter toggle need to be turned on for any special reason when doing this? We vent out a window.

The reason I flipped it was to simply keep the noise down while it ran for so long. Even though I have a good inline fan, I generally let it run now for most prints, as it helps keeps the optics cleaner…
