So a while back I saw an article on survival skills on AOM and it reminded me of my dad’s old signal mirror from his USCG days and I thought about getting one on amazon. Kinda forgot about it for a while.
Later I read up on hot shaves and shower mirrors. Supposedly your dry whiskers are as stiff as an equivalent gauge wire. 3min of hot water takes care of that. I think the study was done by Gillette, so who knows.
Anyhow, I decided to make a giant survival mirror for shaving. Been working great for about a year or so. Decided to make a few for our graduates. Turned out pretty good.
