Had a small fire, it burnt my Air Assist fan. I then decided to replace the carriage plate, but am still getting the Air Assist fan not running at the correct speed error

Carriage plate is new and bought directly from Glowforge. So the fan is 100% clean. No prints on it. Still getting the error as i hear my GF start to spin up. I reseated the laser head about 5 times so far. Feels great, clicks in. Everything moves as it should. But the error is still giving me troubles. Any other tips before i go to support?

Are you using magnets to hold down your material? If so try it without them, magnets can interfere with that reading.

Nope, none at all.

There could have been damage to the printhead in the fire. Have you inspected the pins that make contact with the carriage plate?

have you reached out to support? they can look at the logs and might be able to tell you exactly what’s causing the error. it could be a damaged cable or something else that you didn’t catch after the fire.
